Hats Off! to North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame inductee Kathryn Stripling Byer (1944-2017) whose last published poetry collection, Trawling the Silences (Jacar Press, 2019), has been recorded for audiobook by Talmadge Ragan. The book is available on Audible. Proceeds from sales will go to the Canary Coalition and the Tuckasegee Watershed Association. Talmadge worked as a professional actress in LA and New York, as well as North Carolina. She is the daughter of one of NC's most revered poets, NC Literary Hall of Fame inductee Sam Ragan, who was appointed Laureate for Life by Governor Jim Hunt.
