Jim Clark will read from his new book Notions: A Jim Clark Miscellany and also perform music with guest Katy Adams on Tuesday, Febuary 26, in the Willis N. Hackney Library of Barton College. The event, sponsored by The Friends of Hackney Library and the Department of English & Modern Languages, is also a celebration of the release of Words to Burn,
the new CD by Jim's band The Near Myths. Reception & Book Signing: 5:00-7:00 pm. Reading & Performance: 6:00 pm.
James J. Brown will be having a book signing event for his novel, " Will the Laughter Stop? Baby Boomer Chronicles" on Sunday, February 24th, 2007 from 2:00 -4:00 pm at Fall River Books, 1141 Falls River Ave. Suite 124, Raleigh, NC 27614. Poets Richard Krawiec and Maureen Sherbondy will read from from and sign copies of their new collections, Breakdown: A Father's Journey (Krawiec) and Praying at Coffee Shops (Sherbondy), both published by Mainstreet Rag. The a capella group, Fleur de Lisas, will also perform of their original songs based on the poems in Beneath the Willow Tree , which features poems by North Carolina Haiku Society Members.
