Hats Off! to Charley Pearson who won the 2017 Silver Falchion Award (Best Fiction Adult Anthology) from Killer Nashville for The Marianated Nottingham and Other Abuses of the Language. Also, his medical thriller Scourge is under contract with Fiery Seas Publications. Pub date TBA.

 

Hats Off! to Heather Bell Adams of Raleigh who won the "Novel" category of the 2017 Carrie McCray Memorial Literary Award with the first chapter of her work-in-progress, The Disappearance of Audrey Thorpe.

 

Hats Off! to Caroline Taylor whose story "Intervention” appears in Carolina Crimes: 21 Tales of Need, Greed and Dirty Deeds (Down and Out Books, July, 2017). Also, her story “Risky Business” appears in Work Literary Magazine (July, 2017) and “What Is This Thing Called Like?” appears in One Hundred Voices: an Anthology, Vol. III (Centum Press, July, 2017).
