Hats Off! to Cynthia Lewis whose essay "Big Love" appears in The Hudson Review's summer issue, and is available in full on the website.

Hats Off! to 1997 North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame inductee Sam Ragan whose "Southern Accent" columns that he wrote for The Pilot from 1969 to 1993 are now collected in five volumes at the Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities in Southern Pines. His columns featured poems, anecdotes, and literary criticism, along with social commentary. "Southern Accent," the oldest and longest running column in the United States, was read in forty-three states and twenty-four foreign countries.

Hats Off! to Joan Leotta whose poem "Al Dente" is forthcoming in the Poeming Pigeons' food-themed anthology to be published later this year.
